The game introduces a “SHIFT” ability, which allows the protagonist (John Tanner) to instantly “shift” control from one vehicle to another within the environment.

You stay in vehicles (you can’t leave the car on foot) — this returns to more pure driving focus versus walking + open world.

It includes licensed vehicles (over 130) from various brands, all fully damageable.

The map includes San Francisco, parts of Marin County, and Alameda via bridges like the Golden Gate & Bay Bridge.
