Virtua Tennis 4 for Xbox 360 utilizes motion capture technology to deliver an authentic tennis experience with realistic player movements and ball physics.
Kinect – Virtua Tennis 4 ( X Box 360)
How the Kinect mode in Xbox 360 works:
-
Motion control is optional; normal controller is usable.
-
When using Kinect, the game automatically handles lateral movement (side to side placement) of your character depending on where the ball is, so you don’t walk manually left/right. But you do control forward/back (net‑approach) via physical stepping or distance (to an extent), and swing the arms to hit.
-
The view switches dynamically: third person when moving or setting up, then first‑person when the ball is approaching so you can see your racket and time your swing.
-
You can perform different shot types by swinging in different ways (e.g. slicing, topspin), adjusting timing, etc. The camera and motion detection are supposed to support these.
