In Transistor, players step into the shoes of Red, a celebrated singer in the futuristic city of Cloudbank. After a failed assassination attempt that leaves her voiceless, Red comes into possession of the Transistor—a mysterious, talking sword that houses the consciousness of a man who saved her life. As Red embarks on a journey to uncover the truth behind the attack, she confronts a robotic force known as the Process and the shadowy organization called the Camerata.

The game seamlessly integrates real-time action with a strategic planning mode called “Turn()”, allowing players to pause time, plan their moves, and execute complex attack sequences. With a variety of abilities known as “Functions,” players can customize Red’s combat style, combining different Functions to create powerful effects.
