Lost Planet 3 is a story-driven third-person shooter developed by Spark Unlimited and published by Capcom. Serving as a prequel to the original Lost Planet games, it explores the early colonization of the frozen planet E.D.N. III, years before the events of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition.

You play as Jim Peyton, a rugged utility rig pilot working for the NEVEC corporation. Sent to extract Thermal Energy (T-ENG) for Earth, Jim soon discovers that the planet hides ancient threats, corporate conspiracies, and terrifying creatures known as Akrid.
